SCORPIOS BAZAAR

Mykonos, 2021

Curated by Mexican fashion brand CARAVANA, Scorpios Bazaar is a seasonal emporium with a nomadic spirit. A celebration of the artisanal and sustainable, the story-led space features independent brands and craft collectives connected to the world’s ancient traditions.

Redesigned by Leda Athanasopoulou in collaboration with Orizon Contract, Scorpios Bazaar was expanded under a mesh desert tent. Rooted in cultural preservation and traditional craftsmanship, the design brings together elements of Mayan cosmology and Greek mythology. The canopied pavilion emphasises natural materials and organic textures: raw stone, stained wood, tarnished iron, and Cretan earthenware.

Clothes and accessories are strung on bespoke iron chains, rails, stands and hooks, sparking a sense of curiosity. Leda Athanasopoulou also designed the bespoke marble tables in different sizes and textures, and original CARAVANA leather stools.
